On 3rd October 2026, Faye Hallows, our Accounts Administrator, will take on the Cancer Research UK 10K Shine Night Walk, with her 11-year-old daughter Darcie, in loving memory of Faye’s mum Lynne. Lynne sadly passed away from cancer last summer.

Faye and Darcie are taking to the streets after dark to complete a 10km route through the city, lighting up the night alongside thousands of others to raise vital funds for life-saving research.

Cancer Research UK funds pioneer scientists, doctors, and nurses to find new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat all types of cancer. Every pound raised brings us closer to a cure.

Faye has already raised £230 - even before they start the walk - so let’s come together, where we can, and help her smash her target, and beyond!
